I've never visited this area of the country. It was gorgeous and I had great weather. It was great to catch up with friends I'd met on earlier travels.

Finally made it to Paris. Greg, an American I met in Guatemala and then traveled with again in Bolivia, is living here for a year and I came over to visit. Haven't seen him in 3 years, it was super fun.

Off to visit The Emerald Isle. I'm looking forward to seeing my friends Catherine and Mary, who I traveled with in Australia 9 years ago. Also to meet Aideen's family who I heard stories about since I met her when we both lived in San Franciso 12 years ago.

I had planned to fly to Kathmandu, Nepal, then go overland thru India, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Syria, and Jordan to Cairo. But thanks to W, I am flying to Jordan via Dubai and then on to Egypt and/or Israel. But then I got sick of the Middle East (the men in particular) and hopped a plane up to Brussels and started visiting friends dotted throughout Europe. I will probably go home from here.
