So, as I set out for another year in Spain I rummage through contents of my brain for a "creative Brett title" for my new journal. The first thought that popped into my mind...Take 2. However, I then realized that we usually say Take 2 to refer to an action that we are repeating because we didn't get it right the first time. My first year in Spain was definitely done right...there isn't even one moment I would go back and change. Therefore, this is not Take 2...consider this The Sequel.

About 3 months after doing the Camino I finally feel like I am ready to write about it. What can you expect to find in the following entries? 500 kilometers and 3 1/2 weeks of hiking, blisters, betadine injections, Italians, Hungarians, Germans, French, Spaniards, Canadians, South Africans, South Americans, constant body pain, tendinitis, bed bugs, "incredible" new friends, reiki, hills, flatness, poppies, singing, falling in love, and unbelievable/unforgettable memories.

Well...per the advice of a good friend of mine I have decided to create this online blog to let ya´ll know what is going on in my life for the next 10 months. I will also be keeping up with my kodakgallery site so be sure to check that out too (www.kodakgallery.com/brett_stanley). The title of my journal is dedicated to those fixfunders who understand what it means. My location for the next 10ish months: Palencia, Spain in the Castilla-Leon region (it´s somewhat difficult to find on maps and information via the internet is scarce so you will have to rely on my descriptions. Disclaimer: My journal entries are going to be uncensored and pretty descriptive (lots of memories and inside jokes...that is just how I write)...so if you are one of those people (say...like you mommy) who does not wish to hear some of the stories for fear of worrying too much please choose wisely what you read! So it goes.......
