My nephew Iain's 2nd birthday- cindy/jim/his parents rented a cottage for a week. Laura, my parents and I went up for a day to joing in the celebrations
Since I've only seen Scotland and England, i decided it was about time that I saw the rest of Europe- or at least as much as we could fit into 33 days. This will pretty much be a whirlwind tour of Europe, visiting the places I have been dreaming about seeing for years. Despite visiting 7 countries in one month, there are still so many places I want to see, but that will have to wait for another trip.We booked all our flights ahead of time on Ryan Air- and I cannot stress enough how great it is! It's the budget traveller's best friend! ....Here we go again!
We decided it was the perfect time to live our dream of living/working in BC for the summer. It was something that I have always wanted to do, and stefan really just wanted to spend the summer mountain biking. Having just returned from Thailand/Laos with no real commitments, we decided this would be the best time to do it. Did we have jobs lined up?! NO, did we have a place to live? NO...In true sarah/stefan fashion we packed all our stuff, and just drove across Canada. The drive was deadly, and I would never do it again.....but at the same time it was a great adventure.
This is my first big trip, and I am sooooo excited! My mum isn't too happy, since the tsunami hit Thailand only 15 days before I am set to fly to Bangkok, but I know if I don't take this trip I will regret it forever. So, Stefan and I leave Jan 10th, and start our S.E Asian adventure! We haven't booked a return date, but we both have a $15/day budget, and we'll see how far that takes us. You're probably wondering who can find accomodation and food for $15/day- but compared to some stories I've heard, we will living in luxury on that amount! haha Have to wait and see!
