So here's the plan: I'm going to Southeast Asia with my sister Lindsay. We'll travel to the area south of Bangkok first to check out some the islands and meet Lindsay's friend Wendy. Then we'll head north to Chiang Mai, which is supposed to be a beautiful historical town. From there, we'll head over to Laos (I've heard the 2-day boat trip on the Mekong river is a nice way to go). We'll spend some time in Laos, where we'll relax, maybe do some caving. Then we'll be off to Vietnam, first up North to Halong Bay, a Unesco World Heritage site for its stunning limestone islands. We'll work our way down the coast, stopping at Hue, Danang, and Hoi An for some tailor-made clothing, with probably our last stop in Vietnam being Chi Minh city. We'll take a plane to Siem Reap to see Angkor Wat, the largest religious complex in the world.
Then we'll travel back to Thialand and meet my mom and do a tour with her up North towards Chiang Mai for some trekking and elephant riding.
Should be a great trip!
