Travelling carries on, but in a different way...
Unlike the South American part of our journey, where we were sleeping in different beds / hammocks / floors every night, the french part of the trip was marked by hot water, cold air and more crusty baguettes than we could dream of in our starving fish-and-rice Diogo Lopes days !
Alas, for Jade, it was also time to switch from portuguese to french, which completely confused her but left Bertrand extremely useful for translation - especially when it comes to explaining those bewildering french customs his countrymen-and-women share.
After some months in France, it was back to the third world for more culture shock, this time in the glittering, swarming world of India. Then a trip to Oz for some family time, and then back again to Europe.
All these holidays are tiring !
