Finally. Back in South America...was here 3 years ago in Argenina and Uruguay. Peru...land of contrasts as I am surely about to find out. This adventure figures to be challenging on many levels. This is due to my decision to hike the Inca Trail and follow that up with a few days in the lower Amazon basin. Nuts, I know. Stay tuned...

My seventh trip to Europe presents a first in one way: I'll be working for the first four weeks. I have enlisted to be a chaperone for a group of high school students studying Spanish in Spain through a company called ECI (www.educulture.org). This will take place mostly in the south of Spain before we make our way to Madrid. There are 30 students and 3 grown-ups, well, adults anyway. After the program, I'll spend another week in the north of Spain where I've never been. From there it's off to the UK to see my buddy in Edinburgh. Then I'll fly from London to Rome and hang out with my sister before heading home on August 23. Whew.

Two weeks - two cities. Two of my favorite cities despite incredible differences. Thogh I´m flying solo, my many relatives and friends in Mexico will be great to see. Won´t be posting any pics due to a lack of a digital camera but upon returning, new photos will be posted to www.fotoz.smugmug.com Thanks for reading! ECB
