I started this trip in Jan. of 2004 and finished in Nov. - 2005. I left alone after quitting my job and selling almost everything. I like the flexibility of traveling solo, even though I was almost never alone, and I don't like to have any set dates ahead of time. This way I never have to rush to catch a flight and break the "circle" of friends we all end up making in just about every city. Actually, I avoid flying as much as possible, so I can see more and meet more people, plus, outside of developed countries it's cheaper. My main reason for leaving was just to experience as much as possible and maybe slow time down a bit (didn't happen though). It turns out, I felt more alive during those two years of travelling than I ever had before... ******************************************************************************************************************************* Just a few things you should know if you're not familiar with this site. Not all of my entries have pictures and/or writing on them. In order to trace my route on the map I have to make an entry (with or without pictures and writing) so some entries are blank. Click a few different entries before you give up on my page though, since I do have a bunch of pic's and stories. Also, most of the writing that is on here was from emails I sent to friends and family while still traveling. Since returning home I've transfered my stories onto this site and added to them.
