nothing out of the ordinary for your average field researcher... lots of driving, lots of small towns, lots of forest, the odd atv and occasional large mammal sighting.
It's deceptive, but I'm not just hopping from small field outpost to small field outpost, I'm going back to Edmonton in between. Makes for a lot of travel, but at least I get to spend my weekends in my own bed, do laundry for free, and eat healthy grease-free food.
So, after two weeks with Mom, I'm heading off on my own... who knows where, why or how, but I'll be adventuring around some part of Europe for five weeks (October 11 through November 20th). Perhaps I'll see some art, or some mountains, or maybe a whole bunch of beaches. All I know is that I have to at least try and contact some WWOOF (Willing Workers On Organic Farms: www.wwoof.org) people in Italy and hope that they'll let me work for them for a time too... (otherwise, it'll be 5 rather tightly budgeted weeks of European travel... Poland here I come! haha!)
