it's like an exclusive club... can't believe I'm gonna be in it. loose plan: thailand, cambodia, vietnam, laos, australia, india, nepal (hopefully no major uprisings), turkey, isreal??, croatia, italy?, austria?, slovakia?, czech republic...then NYC, canada?, home (where ever that is...). will easily take over a year. hard to say if I'll get everywhere I want to. I still have my glue stick for collages, but now I'm also lookin for walls to paint on... and if i'm in a country you like and want me to make a piece for you, let me know! nlehet@gmail.com
art won't stop just because I'm traveling, in fact, it will probably be around more than ever. I plan to make collages along the way using whatever I find from where ever I am. I'll leave them with people I meet, or leave them in the streets... images will be posted here.
(PS - at the walker art museum, there was a 150# ball that a guy kicked around mexico city for a day (his weight). by the end of the day it was covered in grime, twigs, garbage, etc. it was an imprint of where he traveled. he said "the less space I have to do art, the more art I do")
Before I head out for the world-wide adventure in September, there are a couple places in the US I need to spend time in: Colorado (for friends) and Minnesota (for family) and south beach miami for a last hurrah!
