As all you dedicated readers of my journal will know it was always the plan to South America and although many people doubted I would make it, I am sitting here in Ecuador typing - so HA. This trip is a 3 month tour of a few South American countries including Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia (if it gets safer) and North Chile. I arrived 6 days ago and I leave on 24th August. For my South American travels I am lucky enough to be accompanied by my friend Giselle (from my Gap year) and the most we had planned before arriving here was our flights in and out and the inca trail on the 23rd July, so lets see how it pans out and how we fill all the time inbetween.............

It all started with an invitation to a wedding in Calcutta. I decided this was an opportunity not to be missed. I was going to make the most of coming to India and stay here for a while and try and see as much of it as I can before heading home and then to South America.
