Popped off to Malta & Gozo in the Heart of The Med with mum for a few days in December - when a frosty breeze from the Arctic wandered down across Europe laying a wasteland of snow and ice! So cold we even had to wear scarfs and gloves in Malta, but didn't detract from the beauty of the island offerings!
Taking in the warm countries of Vietnam and Cambodia, with their ancient and more recent political histories, beautiful beaches and historical monuments.
I've always wanted to visit China... a place which is both ahead of our times and in a way, still very traditional. Ultimately such world wonders as the Li River, Great Wall of China and Terracotta Soldiers are a great call as well, but I hope to capture some of the Chinese diversity within this journal during my 30 day stay!

Been a bit hectic with working right up to the last minute and a quick (unplanned) visit to South Africa to visit Mum. Time certainly has been flying and can't believe I now have only 3 days to go and still a 'to do' list as long as my arm!
Praying ye old Backpack won't be more than 20kg... will have to see!
