"Air pollution levels in Tehran have reached dangerous levels and
travellers should monitor local news outlets before considering a visit
to the capital"
Founded that on lonely planets homepage, and it makes sense to me when sitting here. I really wanna get out of this city, even this country as i feel now. Will try give it a chance, but really miss thailand.
This is what i wrote at another place, to sum up my first week. Might as well copy it to here..
Okey, what happend first week.
Things i got for free
@ Got bread from a turkish student.
@ Got kissed (like they do) from the students friend.
@ Got free taxi from the guys that clean streets at night
@ Got free taxi from the Turkey police.
Offers
@ To sleep in some Iranian home..
@ To come and eat dinner, same place. (guy that creeps me out)
@ A number to some girl in Teheran if i wanted room or had problems.
@ A guided tour in Korea if/when i go there.
People i met
@ American girl, one year younger..
@ Korean girl, same age
@ Italian guy, 16.
@ Iranian soldier with more bulletholes then a rifle target.
@ Some other dudes, danish, canadian, japs whatever..
Now the details..
First night, on "subway", or light rail system, metro whatever they
call it. Met two turkish students, got some bread and the other one
kissed when they left.
Clock was between 23.00-01.00, knew the area should goto, but not
how. Tried to ask some "streetcleaners" the way to busstation, they
didnt know any english but drove me to trainstation, and then the
police drove me right.. long story.
Next day, met this sweet korean girl, finaly someone else the
Sibylla to discuss korean movies.. didnt have so much time together but
she promised me to guide me if i come to korea.
Next day i sat down infront of a girl, she was from america but
studied in cario.. and had more sugar in her breakfast then i eat
during one month. So i started tell her my thoughts about americans,
and how strange it may sound to people like Jonas that knows what i
think.. we had alot of fun all day, from breakfast to the last tea
before my train left 22.00..
italian guy was a funny one, 16 years old, no passport and thought
he was gonna go to India. the passport control in Iran didnt agree and
he was asked to leave the train... i had to spend 2 days with that
chainsmooker so was pretty happy when he left, also he had lied to his
mother and alot of stuff.
ahh, time to go check out from hotel.one thing, if you missed out
to be in like eastgermany, goto teheran, feels like 1985 but more
modern stuff in the shops.
Dont know when i will write next time, dont know how to get out of this town, i just know i dont wanna stay longer then needed.
