yep, its leaning

we decided to drive out to Pisa to see if all these wild stories about this crazy tower were true. and from a km out, we could see that they were. there isnt much to see in the town except the piazza so we did as we were supposed to do and headed down there. it was really quite beautiful with well preserved buildings and a picturesque set up. we walked around the square, took some pictures, and then were ready to go. apparently, theyve made substantial stabilization efforts so that now you can pay to go up into the tower. you used to not be able to do that. but at 15 euro a pop, the price discourages many people from making the hike. we were two of those people.  and then we left for venice.
