You cant really see much in a day

Text written in: English

Ok, i know what you all are going to say. Florence is Italys best city and you were stupid to only spend about 5 hours in the city. but you are the one who is wrong here. i have a master plan. by spending so little time in all of these fantastic places, im guaranteeing my return. im not doing these cities near enough justice so i must return someday to see all that there is to see. you see, flawless logic.

we drove into florence in the afternoon and checked into a hotel near the airport. we took a bus into town and took care of booking a ticket to spain. after that we walked around and saw many of the sights close to the train station. we went into a Medici church that was fairly impressive, then to the Duomo that was partially under construction so you couldnt see all of it, and then to the Ponte Veccio which was a bridge with houses and shops on it. after that it started to rain so we ducked into a restaurant for some food. so far the rumor is true that there is not a bad meal in the country. everywhere we've gone without exception has had great food. it doenst matter what we eat, its all delicious. i think italy has made its case strongly for best food of the trip.

the rain continued as we took our bus back to the hotel. i went to bed after seeing the Lakers lose to the Suns so of course, it was a great nights sleep.
