Our last evening in the land of Oz has come and it feels strange to be packing for 6 weeks in New Zealand. We are very excited to get to know a new country though, especially one everybody seems to love so much. Australia was great though. So many phantastic memories, and so many things we are already planning for the "next time"...
Yesterday we did the Bridge Climb. There was a rather dodgy moment, when we found ourselves walking on a see through catwalk hanging 50m above the water. But I made it and the walk on the Arch itself was brilliant and despite being 134m above Sydney Harbour, the construction has a really sturdy safe feel to it. It was great fun and I was so proud!!! No matter how familiar it becomes, the views of the Bridge and the Opera House never fail to impress. We are all packed up now and ready to board the plane in the morning. New Zealand - here we come!

Unser letzter Abend in Australien ist hier! Es ist schon komisch fuer 6 Wochen Neuseeland zu packen. Wir sind schon sehr aufgeregt ein neues Land kennen zu lernen, besonders eins, was alle zu lieben scheinen. Australien war allerdings auch wirklich toll. So viele fantastische Erinnerungen, und so viele Dinge, die wir schon fuer "das naechste mal" planen...
Gestern haben wir die Bruecke bestiegen. Es gab zwar eine haarige Stelle, wo wir ueber einen durchsichtigen Steg laufen mussten, der 50m ueber dem Wasser hing, aber ich habe es geschafft. Der Bogen der Bruecke selbst war gar nicht so schlimm, und obwohl man sich 134m ueber dem Hafen Sydney's befindet, gibt einem die robuste Stahlkonstruktion Selbstvertrauen. Es war echt Klasse und ich war so stolz!!! Egal wie vertraut sie werden, der Blick ueber die Harbour Bridge und das Opernhaus sind immer wieder beeindruckend.
Wir haben gepackt und sind bereit morgen frueh in den Flieger zu steigen. Neuseeland - wir kommen!
