Huacachina, Sand and.... more Sand!

today i arrived in huacachina, that's an oasis near Ica, five hours south of lima. huacachina is beautiful and famous for dune buggies and sandboarding. i stay at el huacachinero, nice place.

imagine the sound of sand when you got it between your teeth - today was sandboarding day.

we went out to the desert on one of those crazy dune buggies, as it turned out we got the buggy with the most loco driver of all. we were racing up the dunes, the motor of this vehicle screaming, then suddenly we went down - like 45 degrees down and we were screaming louder then the engine. sometimes we jumped, thinking that we roll over every second... pure adrenaline!!

after that: sandboarding! to be honest, i was more rolling down the dunes than boarding but it was fun anyway!
