Weather: not as bad but still too cold

Food: yes okay here you get all you want!!

...we checked rooms in Hanoi, the first one was really smelly, the second one had a big rat living there, the 3rd one looked okay - we checked the hot water - it worked!! All happy I noticed too late that the hot water worked and looked like water too the cold water was something that could have been sold as coffee from its look. What to say it was not a nice start in Hanoi and well I got a fever and cold right then, so we did not care for the money anymore and just went for a really good hotel. Even though our start was not nice I do like this city it is a bit of a weired and busy place.Traffic (mainly motorbikes) is mad as everywhere in Vietnam, but it has charms and the chaos is somehow still relaxed and not at all an aggressive one. The thing I like most here is still our nice hotel room with hot water though. After I felt a bit better we made the daytrip to Halong Bay which must be really perfect if the weather is right for swimming.... we still enjoyed the cruising and to see the floating village....

...wir haben erstmal Zimmer gesucht, das erste hat einfach gestunken, im zweiten war schon eine Ratte, das dritte hat okay gewirkt und auch das heisse wasser hat funktioniert!!!Ich hab dann leier zu spaet bemerkt, dass zwar das heisse Wasser geht und auch wie heisses Wasser aussieht, das kalte aber von seiner Farbe her gut als Kaffee durchgehen wuerde. Was soll ich sagen das war kein guter Start in Hanoi, dann bin ich auch noch krank geworden und ja wir haben dann nicht mehr aufs Geld geschaut und uns ein richtig feines Hotel gegoennt. Wie auch immer ich mag Hanoi, es ist ein bischen wild und chaotisch, der Verkehr ist der reine Wahnsinn (hauptsaechlich Motorraeder) aber es hat irgendwie Charm und das Chaos ist immer noch entspannt und ganz und gar nicht aggressiv. Trotzdem am besten gefallen hat mir unser Hotel und dasschoene Bad. Als es mir ein bischen besser ging haben wir einen Ausflug nach Halong Bay gemacht, das ist sicher klasse wenn das Wetter besser ist und man schwimmen kann - wir haben die Bootfahrt genossen und das schwimmende Dorf bewundert...
