Day 5

A new year and a new place! by this time..woke up early in the morning and rode with my roomate's friend to Gimpo airport. as stated before..

When I got there..at the airport, I didn't notice anyone that was going to pick me up. Obviously, this is my worse nightmare if something happens..however..thankfully..after walking around..asking about taxis..there were some ppl that looked like they could be from the camp. anyway, by that time..it was figured out! and I got a ride to the campus!

met all these nice ppl..yet, didn't have the chance to see them again. how sad is that. =(

when I got there..met the director Uni..and got my room. I was like..what the fuck I got myself into? there is no access to internet or anything..and it's so mundane and bare. and everywhere is cold. I was practically shivering in my room..not knowing what to really do. but by that time..ack. more ppl started showing up. thankfully!! met tim...then xandria..todd. and the rest. chris. adam. ted. it's going to be interesting with so many guys around. franco and jeremy showed up later.

Day 6

everything got settled by Monday..this was the day when we get our kids and welcome them. and belong together for 2 weeks. I didn't really know what to expect..but I just followed whatever was scheduled. by around 3pm..since the planes were delayed..many kids started to arrive. the place was essentially buzzing all around..and I was wondering how I will really survive. after dinner, we had the opening ceremonies in the auditorium. it was as expected. loud. noisy. fun. cheerful. this really put me into the spirit of things!! =) by that time..I couldn't wait for my classes to begin. my group of kids seem really good..and so much coming up. started to also annoy the ppl in the office for internet..but what can I do? that's all I got....

Day 7

this was the first day of English classes. It was quite simple entertaining kids. I started to get a hang of it..like that. not too hard and I get paid for this?? NICE! free stuff and trip! Anyway, just introductions..then creating a group name and logo and motto. and song. It was not too hard...we came up with English Master!

The other kids names: Ann, Dorothy, Cindy, Tom, Joji (really George), Luffy, Jaye, Carter, Jake. My TA was J.

Anyway, things went by fast..we did our group thing. presented to the camp. had korean food..rice..all meals. breakfast. lunch. dinner. and that was that...

rested in the evening. I think we played pictionary..I was with Franco and he did not know what a chandalier was!! but it was good times..haha. can't say too much details at this time..but everyone is quite interesting. haha.

Day 8

Tuesday. another English class with the kids. It was not too bad again. except things can easily go out of control..at times. the kids are so active..and I started to become more hard-lined. if I can without being too mean. I started to get more info about the teachers as they describe their own experience about English teaching and what it actually entails. it's interesting to know what has occurred before..but seems like every place, no matter how fun it can be..still can turn out depressing. gee. can never know what will happen.

Day 9

Field Trip Day!! Yahh!! We saw acrobat show and saw some cliffs and beaches..it was refreshing to get out of the campus. Today is the foreign teacher's day off since it was movie nite with kids. So, some of us decided to go to karaoke bar..that was cool to do that in Korea..since I have never done that before in my whole life. haha. anyway..they wanted to drink..like any western person to have a good time. and well..sojou is cheap..so there was no excuse. we played the game "never have" or "have" and they wanted to sneak in pretending we did not know alcohol in karaoke bars are illegal..well as silly as boys are..we got caught. made this korean lady mad. yet franco still begged for fruits. tim became drunk and silly. so did franco. and it was only 10 pm when they were vomitting...haha. fuck. anyway, taxied home and stayed at jeromy's dorm talking some more..yeah. try to help franco out but somehow..he woke up and slept on a kids bed. and did it in the hallway. too much sometimes..but if you were crazy..crazy things can happen.
