OK, I know it's something that most people are aware of in the back of their minds, but it's still VERY weird to leave one place, and arrive somewhere else one day earlier. (And if you had never thought about this, go and read Verne's "Around the World in Eighty Days" where it will all be explained!)

You will understand from the foregoing that we crossed the International Dateline today (yesterday?), and subsequently arrived in the Cook Islands while it was still technically the 24th (midnight having not yet arrived). So now it's tomorrow (today?), and we've added a whole day to our lives.

So what am I doing sitting in an Interent cafe? The beach awaits!
