Meet the Kellys

Flew up from Christchurch to the North Island to spend a bit of time with my uncle and cousins in Hastings. It was good to be in a house again. Home-cooked meals, being able to lie on a sofa and watch TV, and not having to put a 2 dollar coin in the washing machine to get it to work.

Hastings is in Hawkes Bay which produces loads of New Zealands wine. My cousin Gareth has a business doing wine tours in the area. Its not something i would of thought of going on but it was really good. Pretty much as much wine as you want to drink and food as well. Headed out with Gareth after it and had a brilliant night. Went to some bar where he knows the owner and we got to stay on after it closed which was good craic.

Ended up spending a week and a half with my family. While we were in Hastings we didnt do too much. We were enjoying the home comforts too much to wanna leave the house too often. Though we were based in Hastings for a week and a half we went down to Wellington with Gareth for a couple of days and me and shauna went up to Rotaroa and Taupo for a night.
