Our bus to Piura was ok, crossing the border was pretty sweet, except we had met this John from Uk who had to leave the country as his visa expired that day.  Me and lis had not probs, leaving ecuador but John had actually miscalcualted his days and was 1 day over, immagration wanted 200 dollars or something to let him out of the country but he didn¨t have that so gave them 20 or 30 dollars and that was that.

we arrived about 9pm into Piura and as we we¨re getting off bus, this guy pushed himself into my back, and i ain¨t no fool, turned round and he had tried to get into my bag, but didn{t get very far, when we got off the bus some guy had tried the same thing to Lisa, but with no success.  living in london you wise up to this shit.  So I wasn¨t feeling Piura at all!!

We stayed in another dodgy hostel, then left first thing in morning and to Mancora.. the beach!! Yipee!!

we arrived Mancora its this little chilled surf town, it was so nice we stayed 10days there over christmas.  we were lucky as our hostel was on the beach and our room faced it, not many did and it was lovely  waking up to the sea every morning.  there were lots of travellers from different countries, your usual pick and mix bunch, some good some not so good.

Lots of bars closed over christmas so we spent chritmas eve at the hostel but as all open it was good, some guy had put his ipod on, but as me and lisa didn{t like the music we put our ipods on and rocked the place!!  DJ¨s P + L...   Then the next morning, Christmas day about 7am, loads of the hostel lot, went on a horse race down the beach.  Christmas day they had organized chritmas dinner but me and lisa and dread ordered other food, which lisa got soem food posining that night.

We left Mancora 26 dec and got over night bus to Lima, 15 hours or so, but good coach.   We went to this hostel which was a bit of a perculiar set up but it was alright.  In lima only stayed in Miraflores, we met up with this guy Oscar, =a friend of Marnie), he took us to couple of local places.  From lima we took the worst bus journey to cusco 23 hours of hell.  I had trouble stretching my legs, my short ars legs, so you can image everyone else.  Worst films and just BAD journey.

Arrived in Cusco not feeling to well, got to our dodgy hostel, and must say the worst so far, our room didn{t have windows it was a bit like a squat, and there i spent the next 2 days ill in bed, with bad stomach.  So new years eve, i managed to make it down to the Plaza which was crazy fireworks and people throwing fire crackers everywhere, very hectic, but i wasn{t feeling it.  But Lisa, James and Dread )who¨d we travelled down from Mancora with and 2 canadians all walked me back to my hole of  a room back to bed.  Few days later we were starting the Inca Trail so had to get better for that, but didn¨t really.
