land of the mountains

I'm back!!! colorado mountains do feel like some sort of homecoming. got styled with cheap lift tickets from great friends but after 3 days skiing, not sure I can take much more. I would grit my teeth as my legs started shaking from all those tele-turn deep knee bends. but its a good kind of hell and one I missed way too much. great to hang with my parents in the mountains these past 5 days - but hard to say good-bye for another year+....also met up with the first wave of friends (who smoked me on the slopes, no surprise there) - but how great to talk about normal life shit and catch up with people who know me a little too well. for the next few days, I'm staying with friends in the mountains ODing on high-speed wireless and cocktail hour. liquor - what's that? too expensive to drink in SA..... hello old friend, I've missed you so!

trying to decide when to end this journal - I think once I leave CA for bangkok - that's in about 3 weeks. yikes! gotta figure out what I'm doin in asia for 6 months....
