made it to bariloche. I'm understanding what everyone says about booking ahead for high season. spent 1 hour wandering and NOTHING was available in town. luckily, I crossed paths with another former traveler - guy from isreal who I traveled with in northern chile (another reunion!). he and his amigos took sympathy on me and I snuck into their room for one night. now today is more searching for a permanent place...grrr...
so yesterday was 11 hours on a bus with hardly any food, 1 hour of wandering for a hostel at night, then finally an amazing steak dinner at about 11pm. when I first started traveling, a day like this would work me. now, its nothing.
today I found out the river I'm s'posed to be rafting on is at flood stage. guess its raining everywhere in southern south america (can I say that?). yeah, I'll reconsider a trip on a flood stage river... maybe I'm NOT going south quite yet.
so I've gone from compelete indecision on where to go next, to having a solid plan and bus tickets, to once again not having a clue. at least bariloche is freekin beautiful, even with the rain and wind! just give me 2 hours, I'll figure it out....
