The train journey here was an experience! We were in the lower class carriage where loads of thai people plough the aisles selling every sort of food to eat, including rotting fish! They pace about, singing in thai what goods are on offer. We passed through some weird and wonderful places along the way. Stayed at the Lithai guesthouse with views over the city, although there's nothing spectacular to see here, it's a transprt centre. We only ventured out to eat at a Thai hippy bar.
DAY 2
Spent ages hunting the elusive Tourism Office. It was so near that taxis wouldn't take us there, but even with directions we were lost! We got a ride on a carriage strapped to the front of a motor bike- like something from wacky racers-to the chaotic bus station, and caught a minivan to Mae Sot.
