Venezuela con't

Soooo I'm really bad at this blogging thing apparently, considering the fact that I am now in South Africa and I havent finished writing about Venezuela yet. Bullet points for the rest of the trip:

-went exploring on a boat

-Saw freshwater river dolphins

-Machetied (sp?) our way through a canal on the boat

-Stopped at a hut, then went on a trek through the Amazon jungle, learned about some medecins of the jungle

-Tried desperately to interact with some of the indian children, but they spoke no spanish or anything so it was really difficult

-Had prepared catfish which our guide had bought from a guy in a canoe on the way there

-Boat ride in the POURING rain, where I discovered that this guy John I was with actually went to elementary school with me in Florida... we've been bonding ever since

-Stopped at an indiginous village, which consisted of huts on stilts in the water, hammocks, and unstable wooden walkways

-Went swimming at sunset again

-Next day, went canoeing in the river

-Went piranha fishing, and caught a trout.
