This town is definately the colon of Panama - dirty, poor, everything covered in bars and razor wire to keep out the robbers.
The funny thing that did happen though was our shore excusion involved kayaking on tha panama canal. Why is this funny? Well, there were about 30 kayaks in the flotilla, of which about 5 knew how to drive. This meant whenever we stopped to look at something, and everyone crowded around, it was 'bumper kayaks' or 'retards humping doorknobs kayaks' as I would put it.
The even funnier thing was the most out of control people of all were my parents. People were trading horror stories later in the hot-tub of being rammed broadside by a crazy english couple wearing caps, to which I could only laugh and say' those were my parents'.
Not much else of note to report in panama, and barely any good pictures. Still, i needed to say something to get the waypoint in here.
Oh yeah, that's not quite true. We went to see the atlantic locks of the panama canal in operation, which, although happened in painfully slow motion, was still pretty cool to see giant boats being raised through locks and driving off into the panama canal lake system.
Incidentally at this point in the cruise I was up around $1500 playing blackjack, but do not fear, i did not manage to keep even half this money. Still, i was pretty dam euphoric.
