A very short time in Cochin

Hello all!  You wont see any photographs in this entry and it is a little short, but to keep the map on my page correct here is the entry for the 1 day we spent in Cochin!

Friday December 2nd 2005
Very conveniently the Basoto Lodge whee we were staying in Cochin also had a travel agents attachedand so we were able to at least plan half of our trip to Goa.  The one thing about India is that everyone seems to do everything!  A shop will also be able to arrange taxis, sell train tickets, have the inetrnet and pretty much anything else you could want.  This can be both a blessing and a curse though.  A blessing because you don't have to go far to find what you want, but a curse because no one is a specialist in anything!  At least the travel agent seemed to know what he was talking about.
So we booked tickets on a private bus leaving this evening for Mangalore (west of Bangalore but on the coast) for just 270 Rs each (£3.50p).  Great considering its a 10 hour journey.

We spent the rest of the day just walking around and taking it easy.
