Layover- cool airport

Singapore Airport:
This is a side note about the quality of the Singapore airport. Man talk about a ship shape airport and clean place. They have prayer rooms for the various faiths. The place is under an amazing amount of security but I think they are there to keep people from getting anything dirty which is a major offence in that country. But best of all, The toilettes came in two forms. They had the regular western style toilette and the squat variation (aka Turkish toilette for those who have lived in Romania). A few friends of mine and I are convinced that the squat toillete is the best and most fulfilling mode of defication there is. But in Romania they were always in places where they aren't' kept clean without paper or any form of major cleaning. They can be extremely clean and hygienic. Singapore is testament to that fact.

Once I was in the flight It was pretty non eventful. It took exactly 26 hours from when I left the hostel in Paris till I arrived at the Hostel in Perth. I flew over Romania, the Black Sea, part of Iran, Afghanistan, India, and then down to Singapore. We averaged about 600 Miles per hour (1,000 km/hour) at 33,000 feet with an air temperature of about -50 degrees centigrade air temperature.
