...in which we got Dreyer's ice cream for a midday snack and marveled at how smoothly things were going.

We awoke in Arlington at 4:45 am, effortlessly caught the bus to Dulles airport, winged our way more or less on time across the country watching our choice of movies on Alaska's digital movie players (I recommend "In Good Company" with Topher Grace and Dennis Quaid... and "Fever Pitch" had its moments, if you're a Sox fan), and waved to everyone on Bainbridge Island before landing.

And then we were off to LA...
