A perfect day for diving

Did I say something about the sun always shining? Fate couldn't resist temptation and I'm holed up in the internet cafe again.

Yesterday was a beautiful, cloudless day, which I spent on a racing yacht cruising round the Whitsundays to Whitehaven beach. Sun shining, cool ocean breeze, golden sand, dolphins playing.....life continues to be trying, but I'm battling through.

This morning, thankfully, started reasonably clear, and I was able to throw myself from a plane at 10,000 feet. I had booked 14,000, but with the clouds closing in I had to settle for just 30 seconds of freefall. And that certainly was one hell of a rush, although over all too quickly! Hurtling through the clouds at 240kmph, then seeing the Whitsundays open up beneath me was just incredible.

But by late morning the rain had started and it looks set to continue all afternoon. So I'm running through my list of things to do when it's raining. Have had my hair cut, wandered round the shops, drunk innumerable cups of coffee and it's internet time. I'm going to take this opportunity to do a little research on the next adventure - Costa Rica is looking like a potential winner, but the world's a big place. Places to see, places to dive.....
