Under 48 and counting....

Well, it's been a great few days getting settled again in Atlanta, and it's t-minus 42 hours and counting....

In the last three days, I've diagnosed myself a "caulkaholic" - over user of caulk. My new place has lots of little holes, perfect for spiders and the creepy crawlies, so my latest fixation is on filling them with caulk (don't be afraid Pat, you aren't a whimp like me, plus I am being melodramatic). Caulk is amazing stuff. Other than that, the livingroom, kitchen, and bathroom are all in order (pics attached) but I've left the bedroom and office for the wee hours of this coming morning when I reach the final stage of panic mode in my preparation for the trip. Last night, I met up with my high school friend Jack for drinks, and Leslie and family came over for 24 on Monday night - we had a great time watching the TV with no picture, Murphy's law that it's been working with no issues the last two days. Tonight I'll see Lauren and tomorrow Amy, before taking off. It's been so good to catch up with everyone.

As for the trip, the bag is not packed and many other items remain to be done. Actually, I should admit, I had my first "oh s**t" night a few days ago. I'd been waiting for it, and it finally happened - the eyes wide open in the middle of the night asking myself, what in the world am I doing? Well, it passed quickly, a nice reality check is what I'm telling myself.

Well, time to head out and get some of those last minute things taken care of - and the important things like my picture album (you didn't know you were all coming with me?!), oh and that packing. I'll look forward to writing again over the weekend once I reach destination numero uno. I am sure going to miss you all.
