Alright heres the plan

Text written in: English

With a little more math I think I have it figured out. I am in Athens tonight. Today I woke early in the morning (5am ouch) and we (my 2 south american friends, who are very smart, ones a law student and the other is a theoretical physician) caught a train to Mycenae a very important town from 1600 BC - 1200 BC. It was the capital city of the Mycenaean Empire which covered most of mainland Greece. I have heard of it before and it was fun. We got there early, ate breakfast got our tickets and toured the city. It was small and most of it was destroyed but not bad. There were some famous parts like the entry gate with two lions above and the grave of Atreu (not the same one from the never ending story). The mask of Agemmemnon was found there. So we finished that and then took the train at 10 to Athens. They went to Patras and I ended up in the Capital city. I found a hostel they suggested and then walked around the town.

I started off with the Archeoliglca museum because I knew when I am going to be here again I will not have time to see it. It was fortunate that it was open late today (monday) and I got to spend 2 hours there looking at everything. The coolest part was the centeral room was about the Mycean city and all the cool things they found there. The guides kept saying, oh you have to go visit. I was thinking I was there like 4 hours ago. Lots of fun.

I then went in the old town, Plaka, and walked around. When I got there I went into a Greek Orthodox Church to pray for a bit and the service was starting so I waited and watched. It was very different, the first hour was singing of the people. The priest was in his garb and walked around shaking his incense. After that he proceded to give a sermon for an hour. All of this was in Greek so I didnt know what any of it was but it was new. I could understand only two words, Christ and Jesus. But I had a good time praying.

I then grabed a very nice meal, which turned out to be alot. I gave the manager a little bit of trouble but payed it and walked around the outside of the Parthenon. There is an area of stones overlooking the city which had a great view. I then returned to the hostel via a long meandering way. There was this guy who was very friendly and wanted me to come back with him to his cafeteria. I had read much about them and how they buy lots of drinks and it costs a lot of money and all sorts of trouble like that. I had a bit of fun talking to him and asking him questions but went on my way back here.

Anyways I will leave tomorrow at 8:21 on a 8 hour train (we shall see) to Meteora and will be there for 2 nights, will return here for a night, then London for 2, then HOME.
