National Park Torotoro

Text written in: English

About 7 hours by bus south of Cochabamba on a bumpy single track dirt road is a remote National Park called Torotoro. To avoid this transport nitemare we chartered a plane, piloted by a Swede, Sven "my family just died and i don´t care if i survive this flight". He flew us over and into the canyons and then picked us up to bring us back to town 3 days later. Days were spent hiking to the canyons and swimming, going caving for hours, finding petrified dinosaur tracks and ancient rock paintings. All great fun, except the 35+ degrees and blinding sunshine that gave me a touch of dehydration and knocked my immunse system for six.
