The jewel of Bolivia

Text written in: English

Sucre: the judicial capital of Bolivia, and a world of appart from the rest of the country. Beautiful plazas filled with shoe shine boys and vendors, a sprawling market filling and entire square block, a successful second division football team and a constant 25 degrees followed by picture perfect sunsets.
Arrived via taxi from Potosi on Friday, the 130km journey taking just under 1:45 thanks to Mr Schumacher behind the wheel, informed by oncoming drivers of the lack of Police, he´d accelerate to over 140kph, then turn the car off, to conserve fuel?? Unlikely considering the way he would plant his right foot when ascending again. While Maurice and Nick both holed up due to a case of the porcelin crop sprayers, I went out with travel buddy Bjorn for his birthday, finnishing in a karaokee bar at about 5am trying to sing ABBA in Español!!
Monday I started spanish lessons, in an attempt to extend my vocab past "uno cervesa por favor" (one beer please) And its been a bit of fun. Cooking classes, tango lessons and volleyball competitions to go along with the black board work and homework, just like being back at Moggill State Primary.
