"makes Niagara look like a trickle"

Text written in: English

The description of the Iguazu Falls in one of the guide books was probably a little tough on the north american counterpart. True Iguazu is longer and higher, but an altogether different experience. Boardwalks give you access the the top, mid and base of many of the different falls. Trying to steer clear of the crowds, we left the massive "Devil´s Throat" for last, and were rewarded with a fantastic view of an enormous arc of falling water, where a permanent cloud of water vapour obscures the view of the base of it. A highlight had to be a boat ride up the river, and actually under two of the falls, filling the boat with water and drenching all in it. Luckily today was sunny, so drying off wasn´t an issue.

A postcard view up the river Another perfect view [image] Flip flops and sunnies Every point along the boardwalks offered a photo opportunity The boat in the picture takes you right into the falling water, filling the boat and soaking all participants. The spray from the falls obscures any view you have of the river below. The big one Nice view Rich and myself at the "Devil´s Throat"
