Over the Andes

Up very early for the commute to the bus terminal, its hard enough finding space on the already crowded loacl busses, try it at peak hour with a massive backpack. The ride over the mountain pass was something else. A series of about 30 switchbacks took us up to a pass at about 3800 metres and out of Chile, a little further on we passed the highest mountain outside of Asia, Aconcagua stands 6960m above sea level. Down the other side into the leafy city of Mendoza, a great place to enjoy the sunshine and activities in the main central plaza.
