I got up about 8.30 and did next to nothing for the entire morning, until the lads finally got out of bed and we went for some lunch at a rather posh restaurant where I had fillet mignon for only 2 quid - sounds good, but it wasnt the greatest meal I have ever eaten!
After a short walk around the French quarter, we headed back to the hotel to spend the afternoon chilling out an watching crap films in our room before I leave the guys again and head off on my own to Hue, further south down the coast. Hopefully I will meet up with the guys again in either Angkor Wat or Bangkok for christmas should I nake it in time.
At 7pm I was picked up by the bus which would take me on the 12 hour journey to Hue. I thought I had managed to get myself two seats, but at teh last hotel we picked up from a fat German woman got on and squashed me against the window....wahoo.....plus the air-conwasnt working so the bus was actually hotter than any sauna I have ever been in! On this trip to date, I havent had a more uncomfortable night than this just because i was horrendously sweaty and cramped. Matters were made worse when I finally got some sleep and then the girl behind me opened the window next to me so that I got the warm exhaust fume breeze in my face.
About 10pm we stopped at a restaurant for the drivers to get some food and I used the horrendously dirty and pitch black toilets with spiders webs all over the shop. I was loving it!
