im all lonesome....anna goes back to the UK

Text written in: English

Woke up in grotsville, tennesse, and Anna decided she hates Moscow, so basically we ddi bugger all today.  Anna succumbed to McD's, but i again stood firm and said no to the tempting golden arches and had a 50p kebab from a stall instead!  what a result...

At about 5pm, after watching a bit more english footy on the tv, it was time fr Anna's transfer to the airport.  So we trudged downstairs and i watched anna ride off in a beautiful baby blue Lada, i was so proud!

With nothing else to do today, and too late to go for a walk around the city, I decided to go for a beer in the Hostel bar.  Well, we all know what happened next, i got talked into having a few shots of vodka, plus the nine beers (60p each), and next thing i knew, I was walking around town with two German guys looking for a bar or nightclub!!  Luckily, we didnt find one, so i retired to bed at god knows what time.

Awoke the next morning feeling somewhat groggy and met the german guys for breakfast (it was horrid again).  Turns out they are driving a few pretty big sections of russia...rather them than me!

We walked around town for a few hours taking in the sights, and huge rain storm, went for my first squat toilet experience of the trip and bought some supplies for the train....all in all a pretty uneventful day.

There seems to be loads of German people backpacking around Russia, and the only reason i can work out why this is, is that in old East Germany they used to teach Russian in schools.  Turns out i am the only person in Russia who doesnt know more than 3 words or the alphabet!!!
