Blondes, beer and manchester united

Text written in: English

Welcome to Estonia, land of Mart Poom and lots of drunk Englishmen!!

The first thing i noticed as we were driving the last few miles into Tallinn was (apart from the fact it was raining AGAIN) how many fit as fuck blonde women were driving in the opposite direction!  What the hell happened to Mart Poom?!?!

We had a quick scan of the old town to get our bearings and also find a nice place to eat, and on first impressions, we can see why Tallinn is so big with tourists now.  It is a really pretty old town with lots of fit women and cheap beer.  What more could a man ask for,eh?

We stopped for a bite to eat in a nice restaurant and had some kind of chilli beef thing (some Estonian dish) which i cant remember the name of, but it was well nice.  When out of nowhere, the staff started having sword fights all around the restaurant, which was a bit random to say the least, but quite entertaining all the same!

After our scandalously priced meal, I dragged Anna to a bar to watch Man Utd .v. Debrecen.  Like i was gonna miss a huge game like that...  had a few steady beers (gazza's stuff), and headed home about midnight as we were meant to be on a walking tour of Tallinn at 11.30, and you all know how much i need my beauty sleep.

Awoke on Wednesday morning to find out that it was raining even heavier, so i opted to go and find an internet cafe and finally sort out my train tickets and accomodation through Russia and Mongolia, as i have been faffing about with it for far too long now.

After a swift lemon meringue pie, me and Anna decided that it might be a nice idea to take a walking tour of Tallinn, since the weather had improved (only slightly).  Our tour guide was a crazy lady, she could only be described as off her pickle!!  An hour later, we were left counting our pennies after the crap tour finished after paying a fiver for a look at all of the places we had already been that morning!!!  We had a mosy about the medieval town hall and a look around the castle, which gave nice views of the city below.

After the failed walking tour, we seeked refuge in the only place imaginiable, the Beer House! - home of the living beer apparently...Fit women in 1600's dress, big beer and really unhealthy food...

Two litre tankards later and some far from canny scran (goppin burnt garlic bread and freid cheese), we are here in the internet cafe, burning some time and money waiting for our overnight bus to St Petersburg.  Yahooooo

This place is actually surprisingly expensive compared to the rest of Eastern Europe, meals cost about a tenner a pop, so it could be dinner in the American Embassy (the golden arches) tonight im afraid!! even though i swore i wouldnt go near one of the places on this trip, i always feel strangely drawn to them!

When i get back from this trip, the lads definately need to arrange a mass piss up in this place! The women are blonde and fit, the bars are pretty cheap and the food is sickeningly unhealthy...Oli would be in heaven!
