The women are slowly getting better!!

One thing i have noticed is that the closer i get to Russia, and the further i get from Germany, the fitter the women get!!!

Had a goos but brief stay in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius yesterday.  We arrived on an overnight bus from Poland which was meant to get in at 6.30 am.  Well, turns out we got in at 4.10am instead and all the information desks and everything were closed, which was really helpful.  We decided to tag along with a Canadian couple, Tim and Melissa, for the day and started off with a long search for our hostels starting about 5am.  It was actually quite nice seeing the town before anyone was there, although i would have much preferred being in bed.

The day turned out to be quite a a good laugh, as Tim and Melissa were quite funny and suprsingly immature for teachers, which was a good thing.  Why couldnt our teachers at school talk about shitting themselves? or doing stupid walks infront of every video camera in sight?  school would have been so much more interesting!!

We walked all around the old town and saw numerous churches, etc, and also went up to the castle with views of all the surrounding areas which was great.  Vilnius is a much nicer town than i had expected.  When you think of Lithuania, you seem to automatically assume it with Russia and old grey concrete builings, but it was actually quite the opposite, although most of the buildings came complete with collapsing balconies and crumbling foundations (slightly worrying)!!

Got a fairly early night after a nice veal steak for dinner as we had a bus to Riga at 7.30am.  Awoke the next morning to pissing rain and had a well good 30 minute walk to the bus station!!  we looked liek drowned rats...hopefully the weather will be better in Riga, but i doubt it very much!
