I wish i had listened at GCSE German!

Text written in: English

After yesterdays washout, we woke up this morning after what i class as a normal nights sleep (about 10 hours)!!  We decided that the best way to see all the sights and to learn a bi about the history of Germany, we would go on a walking tour of the city.  It took about 4|1/2 hours but it was quite good fun cos the tour guide was a bit of a nutter!  We visited the Brandenburg gate, checkpoint charlie (again),  and a load of other famous places that i cant remember the names of already (mainly cos they sound stupid), oh and we visited hitlers bunker.  If we hadn't been on a tour, there is not a chance we would have found this place, as there is no memorial (to show they arent proud of hitler) and instead there is just a car park, with a french car parked right above where hitler killed himself!!!  quite funny

After the tour, we had planned to go and visit the olympic stadium (my idea of course), only to find that we hadnt actually got a clue where it was and it wasnt on any of the maps we had, so we had to sack that one off and anna had dunkin donuts instead!!  Shortly after this we trapsed half the way round berlin trying to find a pub or resteraunt that serves even vaguely german food.  Turns out we couldnt tel what any of the restaurants were making as i dont remember a word of my faield GCSE German (where is Miss McReadie when you need her).  As a result we ended up stopping in an cheap Italian restaurant as i could decipher that Pizza in German meant Pizza in English (I am a genius i know).

Unfortunately Berlin hasnt provided us with any tramp fights like in Brussels as yet, but i am hoping that Warsaw can do a little bit better!

Another thing, England are doing the business against the Aussies at the moment, long may it continue! alex please keep me updated!!!!!

Anyway, off to spend the last of my 15 euros on beer before we have to catch another overnight bus to Warsaw.  Anither great nights sleep coming my way, i cannot contain the delight!!!

Auf Weidersehen Pets...

Quote of the day:  there's plenty of life in Gazza yet like
