Buckets of rain and piercings

Arrived in Berlin this morning on an overnight bus from Brussels, we both got a crap night sleep and as a result, Anna is in a right mardy for the majority of the day!!!  This isn't helped when we get to the hostel and i inform her that we are meant to be staying in a 14 bed dorm room! 

We got the U-bahn into the centre of Brussels and feasted our faces on a big hot dog and trundled off to Checkpoint Charlie and a museum about the Jewish population in world war 2.  Checkpoint Charlei was rammed with people as it is the summer holidays and the Jewish museum was the most boring place i have ever been in my entire life, so we navigated our way round it in about 15 minutes flat!!  We walked in to a room called the holocaust tower, which you are apparently meant to stand in the dark and think of the people who suffered in the holocaust.  I didnt know this, so i just stood there wondering why we were locked in a really tall dark room, when a dark figure started walking from the corner of the room and i nearly shit myself (I thought it was that crazy Japanese woman from Ring).  Turns out it was just an OAP paying her respects, so i changed my pants and moved on.....

FACT:  Most Germans are really ugly and have lots of body piercings.

After CC, we both decided that the rain was starting to piss us both off, so naturally we went for a beer.  When we left the pub it was still pissign it down, so we decided to head back to the hostel and chill out and we would go round the main tourist sites tomorrow whether it is raining or not.  Anna couldn't hack the fact that we were staying in such a big dorm, so now she is sleeping happily in our very own twin room.....anything to stop her moaning eh..
