Moules et Frites

Arrived in Brussels yesterday morning at about 10am, on the Eurostar from London (which we nearly missed cos of Anna).  Anna and myself started well by walking in the opposite direction to the hostel and subsequently through the red light district - where we saw a 70 year old in her undies in a shop window!!  I planned it really!!! 

With sore shoulders, and over two hours passed, we finally made it to the hostel, which seemed quite nice although it could have done with some sound proofing. Not that it mattered - we had a human foghorn in our room!!!!

We have been out to see the main tourist sites - Grand Place, Manneqin Pis, Cathedral, Royal Palace, and the European Parliament. Best of all has been the fodder and beer...  I got served a beer in a mini yard glass earlier it was great!!!  Off for more mussels and chips tonight and might finish it off with a waffle and 10 pints of wife beater!!!  Just hope the mussels don't have the same effect as the microwave ones I had last week!!!

Just a quick addition to say that when i was eating this dinner i had top quality entertainment in the form of a tramp fight right out of the restaurant window!!

Next time you hear from me i will be in Berlin surrounded by big sausages!!!  mmmmm dreamy
