Sydney! Wow! Where to even begin? Nayha and I arrived
for our flight about fifty seconds before it left, lol, (stalled
further by Nayha's refusal to listen to me and us ending up on the
complete opposite end of the plane lol) and enjoyed many, MANY laughs
when Nayha strapped her stuffed koala bear into the empty seat next to
us! Oh god how much did we laugh when the flight attendant looked
at it - looked away - came back in like a minute and asked us to take
it out hahahahaha!! Anyway we dropped our stuff off at the
hostel and then headed out on the town!
We went to the Aquarium which was a huge blast - we saw tons of cool
fishies, turtles, platypuses, crock-o-diles, sharks and manta/sting
rays! Awesome! Had to fend for ourselves through the
massive family crowds that a Saturday brings, lol, but there weren't so
many people there that we couldn't survive. Also loved the
jellyfish, cool!!!
Then we saw Darling Harbour which was AWESOME - definitely another
place added to my favourite places! Then we walked to circular
quay to see the Opera House and the harbour bridge - awesome!
Posed for the typical five hundred tourist photos, lol, and enjoyed the
afternoon! Oh, had some AWESOME food at the Darling Harbour
(pumpkin ravioli)! While waiting for our ghost walk tour to start
we came across an amazing artist named Ken Duncan - his photography of
Australia stole my heart!
So yeah - sadly our tour of the haunted areas was fairly lame - less
about gruesome murders and more about the tour guide's feelings about
these murders, lol! But it was totally worth the money because we
got to go underground into an area where they've got an actual building
still from the 1800s--super creepy indeed!
