"New Zealand is a beautiful country" and all that blah blah blah, but we all had a general relief at having a sense of "being somewhere" when we finally arrived in downtown Wellington. Most of NZ is just field and field, and even Auckland is mostly just bland tract housing surround a non-enticing business district. Immediate comparisons with SF were made, and considering Regan and Dion were kind enough to invite us to stay with them in Mount Victoria with its turn of the century wooden villas, it was hard to resist finding common elements between the two (even if central welly is the size of a finger-nail). David organised Courtney a place to stay just around the corner at his sister's place.
