It's like travelling to the not-so-distant future

Decided to come out to La Defense to meet Daniel after work... Some French companies pretend that they are based in Paris when they're really at La Defense - La Defense is a part of the department of Hauts-de-Seine (92), *not* Paris (75). It's like claiming you're from New York when you're really from New Jersey...

Anyway, there's lots of really filthy dilapidation here, so I thought I'd share with you the side of La Defense that you won't see in the tourist brochure. It's worth a visit, but it's hardly the showcase of modern French urban planning that they'd have you believe...
