A day in a volcanic cone

    Akaroa has been trading off the fact that it was the only French settlement in New Zealand for over 150 years now, although there's not much franco-memorabilia there aside from a few "rue xxx" streetsigns and a French flag (for fun!). Akaroa is where well to do Christchurch residants go for a weekend getaway, and is set by a harbour formed in the cone of an exploded volcano. I'll let the photos speak for themselves.
