Wedding Time

My co-founder for BallOfDirt.com is getting married tomorrow. I am an usher at the wedding.. so I have to arrive a day early, check the suits are all tick-it-e-boo and make sure he gets drunk. Which is good really as I am fairly well versed in getting people drunk in Dunedin as I went to University there.

What I hadn't counted on is his fiancee being a bit more cunning than me and she had given strict orders for him to remain sober the day before. This resulted in quite a few 'spys' calling, showing up and generally making sure he was not getting up to mischief. I did however manage to get six bottles of wine down the three of us before the rehearsal, which is why there was all the giggling when Virginia would call and ask "Tom you're not drinking are you"... however, he got to bed early (about 1am) and didn't drink at all on his wedding day, except for some toasts at the after match function.. which was very good, with a rousing applause when the father of the bride took the floor to do his speech...
