Saturday evening went to Northsix in Brooklyn to see the Kaiser Chiefs play - they are a really good British band and they put on a really impressive show in a pretty decent venue. The support acts were also pretty good - particularly Madison Strays - if you get a chance to see either the Chiefs of Madison Strays - do it! it will be worth it!
We then went to the after show party (not as classy as it sounds) where some of the band memebrs were djing. Cheap drinks and free pizza helped the night along, until 3am that is, when the Department of Hygiene and Mental Health arrived to 'check out' the building certificates and fire exits! the most bizarre thing ever, about 5 inspector type people and then 10 policemen/women who just positioned themselves around the club for 'safety'! So of course me and dave started talking to them/offering pizza - surprisingly, they wernt that friendly.
They finally left about 3.30am leaving us with a relatively quiet bar and more free pizza before we made our merry way home thru the deserted streets of Brooklyn at about 4.30am!
Cheers to Dave and Craig for the loan of the photos
