Stars homes Hi Ozzy!!

Today is our last day in LA, this morning we went to the Gryehound Station (yeah I know we were only there yesterday) to buy our Ameri Passes allowing us unlimited travel for 45days for the crippling... I mean bargain price of $503!

Right- our bags are packed again and we have checked out of our room and put or bags in storage so now its time to be tourists again! We had decided that we couldn't miss out on seeing Beverly Hills so we booked onto a Celebrity Homes Tour. Yes it is a bit cheesy but it was really fun. We got into this extra long truck with open sides and then this slightly bored sounding driver drove us round Hollywood, Sunset Blvd and Beverly Hills pointing out all the sights. It was pretty cool, we saw the fire escape from Pretty Woman, The Viper Room club that River Phoneix died outside of, the Medical Centre where the stars like Michael Jackson get their Plasctic surgery done, then into Beverly Hills where we drove right up to the biggest house ever built 20,000² acres orignally owned by the guy who owned all of Beverly Hills. Here we got out and walked round the grounds which were beautiful, the house is now state owned and used in loads of films, the new Garfield movie was being filmed while we were there but the house was Whitney Houstons House in the 'Bodyguard'. From here we saw the stars homes like Ozzy Osbourne's house from the MTV show, Brad Pitt & Jen Aniston's House with Angelina Jolie's house just round the corner they are almost neighbours, Bruce Willis's house complete with pretty yellow flowers. We saw the park where George Michael got arrested, Madonna's house, the house Tom Cruise rents! and the Beverly Hills Post Office which actually has valet parking!

Next we went to Rodeo Drive and had a wander round, checking out all the cars and wishing that our budget would allow us to go and shop in Gucci, Dior, Armarni and all the other lovely shops. It really didn't look like a real street with real shops they looked like they were just a movie set - but then you could definatly pick out the shoppers from the tourists!!

Next our tour took us along Maple Drive which was Ronald Regans favourite street to walk along and is now where Nicholas Cage lives and where Elton John's house is where he throws all the famous parties , back into Hollywood past Laurel Canyon which is becoming the place for the young stars to live - Jessica Simpson lives here, past the Rainbow Grill where Juy Garland was proposed to and then past the famous El Pollo Loco chicken fast food joint where Brad Pitt started his career dressed in a chicken suit.

A good tour and loads of photos taken, so many of LA infact that we had to download them! On our way to find a photo place we found out that Keane was about to play live and for free in the Kodak square so needless to say we stayed to hear him play a few songs and got some excellent photos of him.

What to do for the afternoon before we caught our bus, well we thought that as we were surrounded with movie glitz and glamour we should go to the cinema - infact we went to watch a film at the Chinese theatre, this was very cool as the screen is massive and the seats recline! We saw The Corpse Bride animation with the voices of Jonny Depp & Helena Bonham Carter it was very good if a little bizarre.

Back to the hostel for a shower and change into comfy clothes and then got the 10.20pm bus to San Fran. The bus station was bareable due to a pack of cards but there was a mad rush and lots of pushing and shoving as a ticket does not guarantee you a seat especially as the bus has come from soemwhere else so if soemone doesn't get off you can't get on.

We were lucky or just there were three of us to push rather than just one but we got on the bus and settled down for our 7hour journey. We even managed to sleep you know!
